I have to disagree!!!!!
I ADORE my Kindle!
I can carry over 3000 books in my PURSE!
It’s easier to hold when you have severe carpal tunnel. (like I do. OMG Some books like the last Harry Potter in Hardback? My GOD my hands HURT!!! I couldn’t hold it without dropping it after five minutes. I have no grip strength.)
I can buy more books because kindle versions are 1/2 the price of the paperback and 3/4 less than the hardcover version and most of mine (All the classics especially!) were *FREE* I got all 300 books Mark Twain ever wrote for 99 cents. Complete Shakespeare *FREE*, Complete Edgar Allen Poe.. 99 Cents. I can go on.
When I have a favorite book, I buy a hardcover to display on my shelf, and I love the smell of old books too… I love BOOKS, period. No matter what FORMAT it is presented in.
So don’t knock a Kindle. Especially when you don’t own one and are simply a hipster book snob. Puh-lease. It’s convenient, it’s light, it allows you to carry an entire library in your pocketbook.
More people are now reading than EVER before.
I fail to see all the hate (mostly from people who think it’s hipster and think it’s cool to hate on ebooks.) When all I see is more people reading.
How is that a bad thing? No you don’t get the smell or the weight or the paper.
You do get more books than you can ever fit into your home (for FREE in most cases) and it can fit on your nightstand table.
